Magellan
The Magellan search engine searches two types of Web sites - rated and unrated.
The rated sites have been reviewed and rated for "depth, ease of
exploration, and net appeal". In addition, a green light at a rated site
indicates that it contains no content intended for mature audiences. If you
have nothing better to do with your time, you can use the Search Voyeur to see
what real time searches are being performed on Magellan. I personally observed
that a number of people could not spell.

Google
The order of the results list returned on a Google search is based on a
complicated formula relating to the number of pages linked to the page in
question. The pages with the most links from the most important sites are
given top priority on the list. Click on More Google to find help.
